The Transportation Department is committed to providing safe, timely, efficient and courteous bus transportation services to eligible students. Generally students within a two mile walking distance from a school will not be eligible for transportation services. Students residing outside the walking distance from their assigned school shall receive transportation services. “Pickup” points are established according to site and traffic conditions and in consideration of adjacent property. To view specific student transportation guidelines, please see District Regulation R-3531 at http://ccsd.net/district/policies-regulations/pdf/3531_R.pdf.
Students currently attending magnet programs will continue to receive transportation to those programs until they complete their time at that school. Students accepted into a magnet program that a sibling currently attends can qualify for the same transportation schedule with their sibling. However, those transportation services may eventually phase out over time. Please click here to learn more about magnet school transportation. http://magnet.ccsd.net/transportation
